The State of Alaska is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, assisting clients and visitors while managing communications and administrative tasks. The role involves providing legal support to attorneys and maintaining essential administrative functions within the Department of Law.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk by greeting and assisting clients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a professional and welcoming reception area
Additionally, work closely with the Administrative Officer and other Administrative Assistants to complete essential administrative functions
This position may also provide varying degrees of legal support to attorneys, paralegals, and law office assistants in the Division
Responsibilities may include; procurement of supplies and equipment; case management of department records; coordinating and processing travel; and more
Qualification
Required
Six months of advanced clerical experience. This experience includes work such as Office Assistant 2, Accounting Clerk, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer
Six months of any combination of post-secondary education, vocational education, and/or advanced-level clerical experience. (Three semester or four quarter hours of post-secondary education are equal to one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education are equal to one month of experience.)
