The State of Alaska is recruiting for an Accounting Technician 1 within the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing. This role involves assisting license applicants and corporate entities, processing receipts, deposits, payroll, and various accounting tasks to support the division's mission of providing regulated commercial services to Alaskan consumers.

Responsibilities

Guide and assist professional license applicants, corporate entities, and Alaskan businesses to find forms and make payments
Work accurately and timely in the processing of receipts, deposits, payroll, refunds, supply requests, travel booking, and special projects as assigned

Required

One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month)
A list of three (3) professional references, two (2) of which should be your current or most recent supervisors, including name, job title, employer, and current daytime phone number(s)
Copy of post educational transcripts or certificates, if using education to meet some or all of the minimum qualifications
If post-secondary education is required to meet the minimum qualifications, you must fill in the Education section of the application
If using work experience in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position and it is not already documented in your application, also provide the employer name, your job title, dates of employment, and whether full-or part-time
