Responsibilities
Bi-weekly payroll for our US and Canadian teams
Onboarding new employees in US and Canada
Handling workers compensation claims and documentation
Assisting with benefits administration in the US and Canada
Supporting recruiting efforts in every department
Coordinating bi-annual Performance Reviews cycles
Fielding employee questions and suggestions
Following up on complaints, and conducting investigations when necessary
Updating dashboards, and tracking HR data points
Keeping employee data up to date
Work on-site 2-3 days per week
Other human resources tasks and responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (required) - HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
5+ years in HR with increasing responsibility (preferably in California)
High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
Fluent in Google Suite applications & Microsoft 365
Experience conducting investigations and handling complaints
Adept at navigating HRIS or HCM systems (knowledge of Rippling is a plus)
Experience rolling out new policies and managing change
Experience administering employee benefits and running open enrollment
Must be able to work on-site 2-3 days per week
Must be authorized to work in the US
Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing setting
Experience at multinational company (Canada, Brazil, Philippines, Spain, Norway, etc)
Deep understanding of employment laws in California
Knowledge of employment laws in other states such as New Jersey, Nevada, Indiana, Oregon and/or Hawaii
HR accreditation such as SHRM-CP, aPHR, or PHR, or Certified Payroll Specialist
