They are seeking a Commercial Credit Underwriter - Team Lead to supervise the Underwriting Team, coach and mentor underwriters, and conduct detailed risk analysis of loan requests for presentation to the Credit Committee.

Financial Services

Responsibilities

Assist Credit Managers in supervising Underwriting Team regarding credit memorandums, credit modifications, and SBA forms reviews
Coach, train, mentor and evaluate underwriters regarding credit analysis, credit processes and policy, and product knowledge
Assist Credit Managers to achieve performance metrics in relation to production and loan quality
Review loan files and prepare detailed underwriting and risk analysis of loan requests for presentation to Credit Committee
Conduct initial review of incoming loan packages by determining creditworthiness and compliance
Submit and present findings to Credit Committee
Participate in audits with respect to the company's credit and collections policies

Required

Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience
Minimum of 2 years of management or team lead experience
Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications

Preferred

It is desirable that the candidate have CRE, C&I and SBA regulatory training & experience regarding 7A and 504 SBA loans
Formal Bank Credit training preferred
