Responsibilities
Prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter
Correctly apply the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard
Work directly with the engineering staff to research and analyze design solutions
Coordinate design development and specify and select design components and materials
Perform design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project
Complete 3D models and 2D drawings in Solidworks, managed in Windchill, NX and Team Center
Ensure all work is reviewed, checked, and approved by Fermilab staff responsible for the specific task
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in Solidworks/NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal
A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer
Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects
Preferred
Knowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial
