5+ years expPaseo Advisors is seeking a highly capable Controller to join their growing outsourced accounting team. In this client-facing role, you will provide strategic accounting and financial support while leading and mentoring a team of accountants.

Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, offering proactive insights and financial guidance
Manage, review, and ensure that the month-end close process is executed in the most efficient and accurate manner
Support financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and related financial analysis projects for clients if needed
Guide clients in accounting systems implementations, app integrations, and automation strategies
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP or similar accrual principals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices in client delivery
Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and engagement
Contribute to internal process improvement and standardization efforts
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required
Strong leadership, project management, and team mentoring experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first attitude
Preferred
Prior experience working at a CAS (Client Accounting Services) provider or outsourced accounting firm is strongly preferred
Industry experience with SaaS, construction or home services businesses is a plus
Public accounting experience (e.g., Big 4 or mid-tier firm) is a strong advantage
Familiarity with tools such as Gusto, Ramp, Fathom, or similar accounting/finance apps
CPA or other relevant certification is a plus, but not required
