Responsibilities
Steel Structure foundation and repair inspections
Substation foundation and repair inspections
Overseeing wood pole treatment and testing methods
Overseeing steel structure coating crews
Full evaluation of transmission structures that will help evaluate health of electrical circuits
Assess storm damage and support emergency restoration crews
Qualification
Required
5+ years of active field experience
Computer skills (to properly fill out daily and weekly reports)
Capable of photo documentation with working knowledge of Word and Excel
Travel requirement is based on project location
Minimum 5 years preferred 7 years of knowledge of transmission line work, foundations and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities
Knowledge of QA/QC inspections and reporting practices
Knowledge of various electronics used to create reports
Must have current and valid driver's license
Must be a US Citizen
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and comparing with the customer or engineers' standards
Proficient in both verbal and written communication
The ability to create detailed reports
Able and willing to travel in OH, PA, Virginia, WV, Jersey, Maryland
Ability to drive to job location as part of the work day
Must be able to wear company-provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite
Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs or more at any given time throughout the day
Must be able to walk up to 3+ miles per day across rough terrain and/or unlevel surfaces
