Vestil Manufacturing is seeking an Engineering Design Technician to leverage mathematical and mechanical expertise in designing and developing mechanical components and systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical support, and managing engineering projects from concept to final release.

Responsibilities

Read, create, and interpret blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics

Design new products and accessories as well as redesign existing products to improve functionality and efficiency

Draft and finalize drawings, marketing materials, technical documents, and owners manuals

Provide customer support, including creating customer-specific quotes, designs/drawings, and facilitating all engineering aspects of specific orders

Offer engineering technical support by discussing design/product needs and troubleshooting issues with customers

Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), research and development projects, and product improvements from concept to final release

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed designs for mechanical components

Create designs using input from sales quotes, engineers, and manufacturing personnel

Solve manufacturing and assembly issues on the shop floor, ensuring both short- and long-term solutions

Use feedback and data to upgrade, improve, or repair existing equipment. Maintain accurate project documentation and records

Provide technical support to sales, managers, marketing teams, and customer service representatives

Oversee the assembly and testing of engineering prototypes
