Firmware Test Development Intern
MechNova is an HR consultancy firm that helps candidates match with potential roles using an Artificial Intelligence System. They are seeking a Firmware Test Development Intern to work with a team of engineers to develop and test firmware, optimizing industrial operations.
Responsibilities
Design and development of scripts for automating test procedures
Documenting of test procedures
Execution of test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated)
Creation of test reports
Assistance with lab audit/improvement activities
Assist with build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Construction Management, and Systems Engineering
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
Basic programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
Basic knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs)
Experience with Power Electronics or motors
Experience with design capture tools
Be able to work with schematic drawings
Familiarity with tools such as CAD, Creoparametic, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), 3D Modeling, SAP, Matlab
Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming
Experience using Agile methodology
