Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling: The Project Manager is responsible for the creation and management of detailed project schedules, ensuring that all project milestones and deadlines are met. This includes coordinating timelines with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution from initiation to closeout
Client Communication and Relationship Management: The Project Manager must maintain regular and transparent communication with clients. Weekly documented updates, clear communication regarding project progress, and addressing client concerns are critical. The Project Manager must also ensure that client expectations are set and managed effectively
Field and Subcontractor Coordination: The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the field team and subcontractors. This includes conducting daily touchpoints with the field and subcontractors to ensure that work is progressing on schedule, that safety protocols are followed, and that issues are addressed in real time
Profitability and Budget Management: Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget is a core responsibility. The Project Manager will be held accountable for meeting or exceeding profitability targets by managing the buyout margin, controlling costs, and identifying areas for cost reduction
Internal Team Collaboration: The Project Manager must work closely with internal teams to ensure project plans are executed according to specifications. This includes collaborating with the estimating, procurement, and operations teams to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned, and internal team responsiveness is maintained at or below 1 business day
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years flooring industry project management experience
Strong business acumen in project planning and management
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Capacity to handle multiple moving parts in a project
