Design Assurance Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

Use your problem-solving abilities to perform meaningful engineering work

Help develop risk-based assessments related to design changes
Review of product specifications and design documentation
Review design verification and validation documentation
Research and develop possible use case / task analysis documentation

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials engineering, or Chemical engineering
Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028
Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
Experience with owning and executing an engineering design project with direct output

Preferred

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams
Ability and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
