Estate Administration - Probate Attorney
The Law Office of Polly Tatum is dedicated to helping families protect their legacies and peace of mind. They are seeking an Estate Administration/Probate Attorney to oversee all estate administration matters and provide legal counsel to clients.

Responsibilities
Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
Management, oversight, and primary responsibility for all estate administration matters
Conduct follow-up call with probate clients
Determine a plan for the administration of the Estate, what information is needed from the client, and communicate with the Estate Administration Team on next steps
Review pleading drafts prepared by Estate Administration Legal Assistants and Paralegals
Ensure that pleadings are submitted according to estate timelines
Resolve any issues with the court surrounding a probate matter
Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients through email, phone, and in-person meetings
Ensure that all time is tracked accurately and submitted on time by the end of each week
Qualification
Required
Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
Candidates must have passed the bar exam
Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
Comfortable with technology and web-based apps
Ability to consistently track and enter billable time in practice management software
Effective teamwork and communication skills
J.D. from an accredited Law School
Active Massachusetts Bar Licensure
2-3 years of experience in Massachusetts probate matters as a primary concentration
