Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities
Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment, health and safety are the first priority of the business
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cables assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical component
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
Coordinates with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
Maintains assigned equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring availability in a safe operating condition
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
Qualification
Required
Technical diploma / Electrical apprenticeship
Minimum 2 years of industrial experience
Knowledge of local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
Good communication skills - verbal and listening
Safety experience with lock out/ tag out and working at heights
Instrumentation experience
Compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Must be able to work within a team environment as well as independently
Punctual and reliable; good attendance required
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, reactors, electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination
Must be able to identify electrical wires by color
Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
Preferred
Certified Journeyperson Electrician
SAP experience preferred
