Responsibilities
Assist in managing residential renovation and decoration projects from concept to completion
Provide administrative support generally and backup to Studio Manager, e.g. mail call duties, etc
Develop design concepts in alignment with the Principal’s vision
Create and present client-facing design proposals, mood boards, and materials selections
Produce technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and lighting/electrical plans
Research, source, and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories
Assist with FF&E procurement, order tracking, and installation coordination
Review architectural plans and cabinet shop drawings to ensure design intent is met
Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors
Maintain organized project documentation, action lists, and digital task tracking (Asana)
Support budget tracking, pricing proposals, and vendor coordination
Assist with mentoring design assistants, as needed
Contribute fresh ideas and creativity to elevate our firm’s work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
2 - 3 years of experience in high-end residential interior design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple projects
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Located in the East Bay or San Francisco with a reliable car
Preferred
Familiarity with Houzz Pro, Slack, and Asana
Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
