Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mainframe applications
Perform manual testing of mainframe systems to identify defects and ensure quality
Design, implement, and maintain test automation scripts to improve testing efficiency
Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand system requirements and specifications
Analyze test results, document defects, and track issues to closure
Conduct regression, functional, and performance testing as needed
Ensure testing conforms to organizational standards and best practices
Participate in review meetings and provide feedback on application quality
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in Data Warehouse testing and QA
Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and querying
Good knowledge and experience with ETL processes and tools
Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, particularly Hadoop
Automation experience using at least one testing framework (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
6+ years of proven experience in testing mainframe applications
Strong understanding of mainframe technologies and tools
Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., CA Automic, Mainframe Automation, Selenium, UFT, etc.)
Good knowledge of scripting languages like REXX, JCL, or similar
Ability to analyze complex scenarios and identify root causes
Strong communication and documentation skills
