Responsibilities
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads during feature design to ensure data strategy is embedded in every PRD
Define how data is captured, stored, validated, and reported for new product initiatives
Serve as a technical reviewer for major product changes, assessing impact on data models, duplication, and reporting
Establish standards for data definitions and tracking across the product organization to ensure consistency and scalability
Own and evolve the logical data model across core applications and Salesforce
Prevent data-related technical debt by ensuring schemas remain clean, normalized, and aligned as the platform scales
Define source-of-truth and data lineage rules, including auditability for manual overrides
Partner with Engineering to implement governance by design, embedding validation and controls directly into application workflows
Act as the primary liaison between Product/Engineering and Analytics/Data Science teams
Ensure upstream product changes do not disrupt downstream reporting, dashboards, or models
Translate analytical requirements into clear engineering deliverables
Improve data accessibility and documentation to enable Analytics teams to self-serve and reduce ad hoc support
Qualification
Required
5+ years of product management experience in fintech, lending, or regulated financial services
2+ years of experience leading data governance, data stewardship, or MDM initiatives
Strong knowledge of data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices
Experience implementing or working with data catalogs and data dictionary tools
Solid understanding of lending data lifecycles and related compliance requirements
Proven experience managing API integrations and complex data flows
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to product strategy
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (or equivalent experience)
