Responsibilities
Develop 3D models and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Create detailed mechanical assemblies, layouts, and drawings in accordance with ANSI design standards
Gather project information, including dimensions, specifications, equipment capabilities, and utility requirements
Coordinate with fabrication, controls, and production teams to ensure projects meet timelines and quality expectations
Update and modify drawings based on engineering notes and field observations
Support field measurements and collaborate with operational teams during installation and assembly
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in Drafting, Design, or Engineering required
Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design or equivalent hands-on experience
Strong understanding of conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable in a production environment and working with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of manufacturing operations, GMP, OSHA, and ergonomic best practices
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
Familiarity with packaging machinery, material handling systems, and plant equipment (extruders, pumps, heat exchangers)
Experience with machine shops (Mills, Lathes, presses, shears, welders, grinders)
