Staff Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT)
Weber Human Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Engineer to join Highland City's Public Works team. The role involves managing private development projects, overseeing the MS4 stormwater program, and engaging with citizens to ensure compliance and provide excellent service.

Responsibilities
Take the lead on private development projects by reviewing plans, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with City, State, and Federal regulations
Oversee the city's stormwater system, manage compliance, and conduct inspections to maintain environmental standards
Utilize ESRI products to maintain and update the city's GIS records, integrating field data and project as-builts
Prepare and manage bid packages for a diverse range of projects, from street improvements to trail construction
Serve as a key point of contact for citizens, addressing their inquiries and providing excellent customer service
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
1-3 years of relevant experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
3-6 years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
Excellent understanding of civil engineering principles
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
