Responsibilities
Provide care to an 18-bed adult acute care unit divided between a 6-bed medical-surgical side and a 12-bed behavioral health side
Maintain nursing ratios of 1:3 on the medical-surgical unit and 1:4 on the behavioral health unit
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to manage patients with complex co-occurring conditions
Follow established protocols and utilize EPIC for accurate charting and patient management
Participate in a 3x12-hour shift rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including holiday rotations and every other weekend schedule
Adapt to unit needs including possible floating to different subunits within the scope of practice
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state/compact RN license
Minimum of 1 year Med-Surg nursing experience
BLS certification required
Ability to float within nursing scope to meet unit needs
Preferred
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
