Responsibilities

Work to J.I.S.’s inspection procedures, overhaul manuals, blueprints and is capable of figuring fractions/decimals
Works normally with a minimum of supervision but may be required to work with supervision and engineering on new procedures/programs, etc
Performs as required: disassembly, reassembly, inspection, repair of sub-assemblies and final assemblies
Must perform machine operations as required
Must be capable of machine brazing and soldering
Must be able to use the required inspection equipment
Must be able to complete necessary documents and records accurately and legibly
Keeps equipment and surrounding area in a neat and orderly fashion
Performs pressure checks and adjustments as required in the build-up of subassemblies and units
Must safety wire, paint, inspect and prepare units for ship as required
Has a good knowledge of the operation and function of assembled units
Has knowledge of the correct tool and usage for the particular job and sets up own work and devises means for new assembly/inspection procedures

Required

High School Diploma/GED
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred

Previous manufacturing experience
A&P License
Must have held both the Class A Mechanical Assembly and Class I Assembly Inspection classification
2 to 4 years of experience with overhaul and repair
