Retail Business Development Manager
Forward Progress Staffing is working with a high-growth immersive technology company preparing for launch, seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager. This role involves leading early go-to-market efforts across retail, focusing on building momentum and managing outbound prospecting and pipeline creation.
Responsibilities
Own outbound prospecting and pipeline creation across retail accounts
Run early pilots/POCs: define success criteria, manage stakeholders, and turn learnings into repeatable GTM use cases
Engage senior and technical stakeholders (often CTO / technical leaders)
Partner closely with internal technical teams to support discovery and execution
Capture structured market feedback and translate it into actionable input for Product and Engineering
Maintain strong CRM hygiene and reporting across pipeline and pilots
Qualification
Required
4–5+ years in BD, strategic sales, partnerships, or customer success
Strong outbound and pipeline ownership experience
Comfort selling technical platforms to mixed technical / business audiences
Highly organized, reliable follow-through, and energized by pre-launch ambiguity
Preferred
Bonus: exposure to Unity, web platforms, AR/VR, or immersive tech
