Responsibilities
Review information received from clients. Identify missing information or discrepancies in client files and communicate with clients and team members to resolve them
Precisely enter financial data from source documents (W-2s, 1099s, etc.) into UltraTax software with a high degree of accuracy
Conduct thorough reviews of entered data to ensure completeness and correctness before passing files to senior preparers
Assist in the preparation of internal reports and summaries required for final tax filings
Maintain the highest level of security and discretion regarding sensitive financial and personal client information
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
A basic understanding of 1040 individual tax returns and standard IRS forms is required
Detail Orientation: Extreme attention to detail and a commitment to 'right-first-time' data entry
Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively under strict IRS deadlines
Professionalism: A friendly disposition and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment
Adaptability: Ability to be proactive and work independently while following established firm workflows

Tax Preparation: 3 years (Required)
Customer Service: 3 years (Required)
Preferred
Currently pursuing a career or degree in Tax or Accounting is highly preferred
Previous experience with UltraTax is a highly preferred
