Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SCADA/BMS solutions using Ignition, with an emphasis on scalable architecture and maintainable Perspective user interfaces
Own key technical deliverables, including functional specifications, system architecture diagrams, I/O and tag lists, and test procedures
Define, document, and enforce engineering standards for UDTs, templates, naming conventions, and screen design across projects
Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, PR/code reviews, and structured feedback
Diagnose and resolve complex system issues spanning PLCs, field networks, servers, device integrations, and SCADA applications, driving root-cause analysis
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to align requirements, manage technical risk, and handle change requests
Contribute technical leadership to backlog grooming, effort estimation, proposals, and scope development
Promote and apply cybersecurity, reliability, and high-availability best practices for OT and SCADA environments
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting SCADA systems, with significant exposure to Ignition or similar platforms
Proven experience leading technical workstreams on complex or multi-site SCADA/BMS projects
Strong proficiency in PLC programming and industrial communication protocols
Strong proficiency in Ignition Designer, Perspective, tag providers, and gateway configuration
Strong proficiency in industrial networking and OT cybersecurity concepts
Strong proficiency in database integration, including queries, historization, and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Ignition Gold Certified required
