Responsibilities
Performs chromatographic testing, including HPLC, GC, LC/MS, etc
Performs physical testing, including appearance, NMR, etc
Ensure compliance with SOPs, ICH guidelines, and 21 CFR regulations
Prepare technical documentation including analytical reports, certificates of analysis, validation reports, protocols, and methods
Assist in instrument installation and/or qualification as needed
Author instrument use SOPs as needed
Document all testing according to appropriate SOPs and GMPs
Maintain up to date training on all instrumentation and SOPs
Mentor entry-level chemists and provide supervision for up to two analysts
Provide timely, professional communication with clients
Assist in maintaining laboratory safety requirements. This includes pharmaceutical waste disposal, maintaining safety equipment, and helping to establish safety protocols
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members throughout the various departments
Qualification
Required
B. S. in Chemistry or related science
4-5 years of analytical testing experience in a GMP environment (Contract Lab preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Proficient in Empower 3
