Responsibilities
Design structural steel skids using SolidWorks 3D software
Create engineering submittal documents per project specifications
Communicate with customers regarding product design and specifications
Generate bills of material, cut lists and fabrication drawings
Create and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
Participate in finished equipment run testing
Inspect completed assembled equipment skids
Support the sales department with technical information
Interact with shop fabrication & assembly personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree
3+ years equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience with 3D CAD software
2+ years working with and understanding of structural steel metal fabrication and pipe weldments
Ability to communicate with customers' engineering departments
Ability to multi-task and work with multiple projects
Strong problem solving and project management skills
Strong English communication skills, oral and written
Ability to work in a small office environment and collaborate with peers
Preferred
Bachelor 's degree concentration in: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro-mechanical Engineering Technology
A Computer Aided Drafting degree or certificate will be considered
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Experience in sheet metal forming
Knowledge of electrical controls and wiring
Experience with FEA tools and design validation methods
