Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction and support to approximately five high school students with individualized education programs (IEPs)
Collaborate closely with 1:1 paraprofessionals assigned to each student to ensure personalized attention
Lead the first half of the day in classroom settings, implementing tailored educational plans
Facilitate community integration by assisting students during job placements in various local businesses and organizations during the latter half of the day
Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with program requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Experience in special education, ideally working with high school-aged students
Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessional staff and families
Strong commitment to fostering independence and community involvement among students
Excellent organizational and communication skills
