Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities
Collaborate closely with a co-teacher and student teacher to create a dynamic learning environment
Manage and support students across two connected classroom spaces, facilitating rotation mid-day
Utilize Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or EDPlan tools to monitor and adapt instructional goals
Work alongside three teaching assistants per room to coordinate student support and activities
Maintain compliance with district and state special education requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
Active Special Education Teacher license
Minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Current South Carolina certification in special education
Strong skills in behavior management and instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-staff classroom environment
Commitment to supporting academic and social development for K-5 students with special needs
Preferred
Experience with EDPlan preferred; training and assistance provided if needed
