Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within self-contained or resource classroom settings
Manage an elementary self-contained caseload of 8 students in grades K-2, supported by two paraprofessionals
Provide resource support for 3rd to 4th graders, with caseload details to be determined
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Monitor student progress, adapting strategies as necessary to promote academic and social development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Preferred
Experience teaching students with social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
Ability to work effectively with paraprofessional staff in a team teaching environment
Strong communication skills to engage with families, staff, and external professionals
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
