Responsibilities
Pull green lumber from the sawmill and move it efficiently
Maximize yield by trimming flaws or adjusting lumber grades as needed
Ensure lumber meets grade parameters to maintain quality standards
Determine cuts per supervisor instructions to meet production goals
Remove unsatisfactory pieces from conveyor or table and place on stacks, bins, or carts
Qualification
Required
Able to lift and move green lumber repetitively
Ability to learn in-house proprietary lumber grades
Mill or industrial production experience required
Able to read and interpret memos, safety rules, and procedure manuals
Apply instructions from written, oral, or diagram formats with common sense
Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks
Comply with all safety rules and wear required PPE
Communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Must be authorized to work in the U.S
Preferred
Mill production or industrial production experience preferred
