Responsibilities
Perform histological processing including fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of tissue specimens
Prepare samples and support pathologists by delivering high-quality slides for microscopic examination
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with established safety protocols and quality standards
Collaborate with medical personnel to troubleshoot and optimize laboratory procedures
Document and record findings accurately for patient records and laboratory reporting
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's in Histotechnology
ASCP or AMT Certification
1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience
Preferred
Proven experience in histology laboratory procedures
Strong knowledge of tissue preparation techniques and staining protocols
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to follow strict laboratory safety standards
Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation
Familiarity with laboratory information systems
