Responsibilities

Support and lead negotiations with electric utilities related to the interconnection of large electricity loads, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external counterparties
Provide legal support for regulatory testimony, ensuring submissions are accurate, strategically aligned with corporate objectives, and written in clear, plain-English style suitable for public regulatory proceedings
Advise on electricity interconnection, supply, and related agreements for large electricity customers
Support U.S. regulatory advocacy efforts, including work on tariff development, rate cases, and resource planning proceedings
Collaborate closely with internal business partners, in-house counsel, and outside counsel across multiple concurrent matters
Effectively manage several complex, time-sensitive projects in parallel while maintaining attention to detail and consistency of approach

Required

JD and active U.S. law license in good standing (any jurisdiction)
At least 4 years of relevant experience at a reputable law firm
Demonstrated substantive experience advising on: Electricity interconnection and supply agreements for large electricity customers
U.S. electricity regulatory matters, including issues affecting tariffs, rates, and resource planning
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, persuasive regulatory-facing work
Ability to actively manage complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
Regulatory writing experience is required

Preferred

Prior in-house experience, including direct work with business partners
Experience working with both in-house and outside counsel
