Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage financial data and documentation in response to state regulatory examinations and periodic filings
Prepare, validate, and submit required regulatory filings, including mortgage industry financial reporting and licensing submissions
Ensure consistency and reconciliation of data across financial reporting systems and servicing platforms
Manage regulatory response timelines, documentation workflows, and internal approvals
Partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and Compliance teams to support regulatory inquiries
Maintain strong working knowledge of internal financial reporting systems and data sources
Support ongoing enhancements to regulatory reporting processes, controls, and documentation standards
Identify data issues, process gaps, and reporting risks; propose practical remediation solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or financial analysis within mortgage servicing
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or financial analysis within non-bank lenders
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or financial analysis within specialty real estate finance platforms
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or financial analysis within financial services organizations subject to state oversight
Strong understanding of state regulatory requirements and financial compliance
Hands-on experience supporting regulatory exams, filings, or licensing requirements
Familiarity with mortgage industry reporting frameworks (e.g., MBFRF, NMLS, or comparable)
Advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a regulated environment
Clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
Sound judgment when working with regulators and sensitive financial data
Collaborative, team-oriented approach with high accountability
Preferred
Experience with FP&A or financial reporting tools (e.g., Planful or similar platforms preferred)
