Major Gifts Officer
The Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center is entering a historic new chapter, celebrating significant anniversaries and expanding its global impact. They are seeking a Major Gifts Officer to design and drive an individual giving strategy, cultivating a portfolio of high-net-worth donors to advance the organization's mission and address pressing challenges.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a major gifts strategy that drives sustainable, values-aligned growth
Manage and expand a portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects giving $10K+
Cultivate, solicit, and steward high-net-worth individuals to grow engagement and impact
Partner with senior leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders to strengthen donor relationships
Collaborate with communications and program teams to craft compelling stories and donor materials
Maintain accurate donor records and pipeline tracking in Salesforce CRM
Report on fundraising performance and pipeline development to leadership and the development committee
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of experience in nonprofit frontline fundraising, with a focus on individual giving and major gifts
Proven success cultivating and securing gifts of $10,000+ and managing portfolios of $100K–$1M+
Strong relationship management skills and ability to engage senior leaders and high-profile donors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate mission into motivation
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus) and MOVES management best practices
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Deep commitment to human rights, social justice, and equity
Preferred
Experience in a start-up or growth-stage nonprofit environment
Knowledge of human rights advocacy or related social impact work
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency (Spanish a plus)
