Responsibilities
Design end-to-end Microsoft Fabric architectures covering ingestion, transformation, modeling, storage, and reporting
Architect scalable data models and semantic layers optimized for performance and governance
Lead the integration of Fabric components such as Data Engineering, Data Factory pipelines, Real-Time Analytics, Synapse Data Warehouse and Power BI
Define best practices for OneLake organization, data security, capacity planning, and workspace governance
Oversee enterprise Power BI development, including dataset design, report building, DAX modeling, and performance tuning
Establish standards for Power BI governance, deployment pipelines, usage monitoring, and administrative controls
Guide teams on semantic models, Direct Lake, and hybrid table strategies
Develop and review ingestion frameworks using Spark, Dataflows, Pipelines, and Fabric notebooks
Define ETL/ELT strategies aligned with Fabric’s unified data architecture
Integrate Fabric with external enterprise data sources, SaaS systems, and Azure services
Define and enforce standards for data quality, privacy, and security (RBAC, row-level security, workspace management)
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies
Work with cross-functional teams (business, engineering, analytics, cloud) to align data architecture with organizational goals
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers and data engineers
Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
7+ years of hands-on Power BI experience including DAX, data modeling, and enterprise BI deployment
Expertise in Microsoft Fabric architecture —including Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake, Real-Time Analytics, and related services
Experience designing cloud-native analytics solutions in Microsoft Azure
Strong proficiency with SQL, ETL/ELT concepts, and data warehousing principles
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise BI or data platform implementations
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-facing skills
Bachelor's degree (minimum 4-year) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or closely related technical field
Must have Microsoft Certifications, such as:
DP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer
DP-500: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst
PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst
Azure Data Engineer / Architect certifications
Preferred
Experience with Direct Lake, Lakehouse architecture, and Delta tables
Knowledge of Python or PySpark within Fabric notebooks
Experience working with international or distributed teams
Background in consulting or solution delivery environments
