Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and platform components that power Condor’s financial cloud
Build and maintain platform infrastructure with a serverless architecture
Collaborate with AI/ML engineering and product teams to design backend interfaces that integrate with LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automated reasoning workflows
Build backend logic to support complex workflows related to clinical trial accounting, financial forecasting, and budgeting
Build frontend components and interfaces as needed to support full-stack feature delivery, using React
Investigate and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending and implementing long-term architectural improvements
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following internal development standards and best practices
Participate in architectural discussions and technical planning, contributing to platform evolution and scalability strategies
Mentor team members on backend best practices, system design, and technical excellence
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with strong emphasis on backend development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications
Deep expertise in at least one backend programming language (Python preferred, but others, such as Go, are acceptable) and associated frameworks (Django, Flask, etc)
Understanding of full-stack development including frontend frameworks, though backend is the primary focus
Preferred
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django or Flask
Experience with TypeScript and React for full-stack feature development
Hands-on experience integrating backend services with LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar AI platforms)
Experience building agentic AI workflows or AI-powered automation features
