Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle accounting for closed-end alternative investment funds
Oversee capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations across complex flow-through entities
Prepare and review fund financial statements, capital account statements, and supporting schedules
Calculate and review waterfalls, management fees, and carried interest
Ensure accurate accounting for investments, valuations, and fund-level expenses
Maintain compliance with GAAP and fund governing documents
Support treasury activities, including cash management, wires, and funding needs
Oversee accounts payable processes and expense allocations across funds
Partner with leadership to evaluate and transition to outsourced accounting and operational solutions as the platform scales
Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers
Build, improve, and document fund accounting processes and controls in a less structured, alternatives-focused environment
Review and enhance reporting accuracy, timeliness, and transparency
Serve as a technical resource for complex accounting questions related to fund structures and transactions
Act as a hands-on manager who can operate independently while partnering closely with internal teams
Collaborate with investment, legal, tax, and operations teams to support fund activity and reporting
Communicate complex fund accounting concepts clearly to non-accounting stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
5-10+ years of fund accounting experience
Advanced Excel
Preferred
CPA a plus but not a requirement
