Responsibilities
Set the strategic direction for enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with business priorities and architectural principles
Manage teams delivering core shared services: integration, automation, content management, document routing, DevOps/AI enablement, and data services
Define and enforce architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and governance processes across platform teams
Serve as a key advisor to the CIO and senior leaders on platform capabilities, roadmaps, and technology investments
Collaborate with domain architects, engineering, and business units to ensure shared platforms meet functional and non-functional requirements
Drive adoption of shared services by simplifying intake, standardizing delivery models, and improving time-to-value
Monitor platform performance and usage across the enterprise to identify underutilization, duplication, or technical debt
Lead planning and execution of platform modernization efforts, including transitions from legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native services
Support AI and data initiatives by ensuring platforms can support data ingestion, orchestration, and secure access across business functions
Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and budget forecasting for shared platform tools and services
Build and maintain enterprise-level visibility into systems, data flows, and integration points
Develop and publish architectural artifacts to guide teams (e.g., current/future state models, capability maps, decision logs)
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the team; regularly conduct effective and timely structured Progress & Growth Structured Dialogue sessions
Recruit, retain, and develop platform leaders and SMEs to ensure continuity and bench strength
Represent the architecture function in strategic programs, audits, and executive planning forums
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required
12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or large-scale IT leadership
5+ years in a senior leadership role managing architects or platform teams
3+ years of experience with core insurance systems (policy, billing, claims, underwriting) in a regulated environment
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and platform operating models
Demonstrated success aligning technical platforms with strategic business priorities
Enterprise mindset with strong strategic and systems thinking
Ability to lead cross-cutting initiatives involving shared services, architecture standards, and organizational change
Broad knowledge across application, data, infrastructure, and cloud architecture domains
Familiarity with AI, automation, and integration technologies and how they scale across enterprises
Skilled in creating and institutionalizing architectural assets and governance practices
Strong talent development and succession planning capabilities
Experienced in stakeholder management and communication across executive, business, and technical audiences
Comfortable leading through ambiguity and balancing innovation with operational stability
Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
