Intern - Clinical & Counseling
Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to supporting the Fort Worth community. They are seeking compassionate and motivated Clinical Interns to provide trauma-informed care and holistic support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Conduct systemic clinical assessments and assist in developing individual and systemic care plans
Provide solution focused and Intensive Family Therapy under supervision
Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups (e.g., coping skills, substance use recovery, trauma support)
Collaborate with case managers, medical staff, and external providers to coordinate care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and ethical standards
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions
Advocate for clients’ access to housing, healthcare, and social services
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health field
Completion of foundational coursework in clinical theory and practice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to social justice and serving marginalized populations
Preferred
Prior experience with homelessness, substance use, or mental health
