Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to high-value clients, including entrepreneurs, executives, and family offices
Deliver personalized tax planning, compliance oversight, and integrated wealth strategies
Ensure a high-touch client experience with consistent technical excellence, accuracy, and timeliness
Lead and execute the strategic direction of the Tax Advisory Services (TAS) group in alignment with firm leadership
Oversee engagement delivery, ensuring compliance with internal policies, risk protocols, and quality standards
Advise on complex tax matters including entity structuring, business transactions, deferred compensation, and multi-entity planning
Monitor and manage engagement performance, including realization, utilization, and profitability
Collaborate with leadership on billing structures, client onboarding, and engagement economics
Partner with Operations and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the tax practice
Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development
Identify and develop high-potential talent and support succession planning and future leadership readiness
Champion a values-driven culture centered on growth, humility, and purpose
Leverage technology, analytics, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and insights
Drive innovation in tax workflows and service delivery models
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive tax experience advising high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and complex, multi-entity structures
Active CPA or EA license required
Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
Strong experience with individual, partnership, trust, and S corporation taxation
Advanced tax accounting knowledge and ability to advise on complex planning and transactional issues
Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
Strong alignment with a mission-driven, growth-oriented culture
Preferred
Experience working with entrepreneurs, venture-backed companies, and emerging growth environments strongly preferred
Familiarity with sales and use tax compliance is a plus
Background in public accounting, advisory, or entrepreneurial environments
