Responsibilities
Identify and vet global suppliers to meet technical specifications, and lead negotiations for high-value contracts, balancing cost-efficiency with reliability
Implement agile strategies (JIT, VMI) to minimize carrying costs while ensuring 100% availability for production
Work with Engineering and Product teams to manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for new product introductions and find alternatives for long-lead-time components
Oversee daily execution of contract requirements to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the program life cycle
Interface with internal teams (Engineering, Quality) and external customers on contract matters
Lead bid and proposal activities, including material estimating and sourcing strategies
Utilize ERP/MRP systems and data analytics to forecast demand, track KPIs (OTIF, Lead Times, COGS), and identify potential disruptions before they impact the line
Oversee complex international shipping routes, customs compliance, and last-mile delivery for sensitive technical equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or a related field
APICS/CPIM certification is a significant plus
5+ years in Supply Chain Management, specifically within a high-tech, photonics, electronics, or fast-scaling manufacturing sector
Ability to read technical drawings or specifications and discuss component requirements intelligently with engineers
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and expert-level Excel/Data Visualization skills
