The State of Alaska is seeking an Eligibility Technician 3 to join the Department of Health. In this role, you will lead a team, assist in training and evaluation, and manage a confidential caseload while ensuring accurate eligibility determinations and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Serve your team as a working lead, working closely with the team and leadership to develop staff
Assist in the training, evaluation, and guidance of fellow employees
Multi-task a variety of assignments, including casework, interpreting policy, and reviewing staffs case determinations
Lead workers perform at the first level below the unit supervisor, contributing to employee training, ensuring the accuracy of eligibility determinations, maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service with clients and partner agencies, and guiding eligibility and workload staff
You will handle multiple demands and tasks, including managing a confidential caseload, conducting case reviews, interpreting policy, conducting fair hearings, and assisting both eligibility workers and supervisors

Required

One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer
One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skills in applying program requirements to diverse situations, conducting interviews, and gathering information in order to obtain and verify information while working with client customers in stressful situations
