Responsibilities
Prepare individual and small business tax returns (1040, Schedule C, basic 1120S and 1065)
Organize and review tax source documents
Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation
Meet with tax clients as needed to review returns or answer basic questions
Prepare extensions and amended returns when required
Follow established systems, checklists, and review procedures
Meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy during peak season
Qualification
Required
Prior hands-on tax preparation experience
Experience preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040)
Ability to work full-time during peak tax season (January–April), with flexible hours based on return volume
Comfortable working in-office (Waller or Hempstead, TX)
Comfortable meeting with tax clients
Familiarity with professional tax software (OLT, Drake, ProSeries, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to follow documented systems and review processes
Dependable and deadline-oriented
