Responsibilities

Supervise a team of Eligibility Technician 1 positions and provide support through coaching, mentoring, and training using various methods
Assign and review work while interpreting relevant policies
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients across the state
Serve as the primary point of contact for building and maintenance issues

Required

One year of entry level experience as an Eligibility Technician 1 with the State of Alaska
One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skills in applying program requirements and working with client customers in stressful situations
Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month)

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with using the internet, toggling between browsers, managing multiple computer screens, and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite and its components are beneficial
