Program Supervisor of Individual Supports

The Program Supervisor assists the Assistant Director of Independent Living with oversight of the daily operation of the Individual Supports program for individuals with disabilities, including supervision of staff and case management requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist the Assistant Director of Independent Loving with supervision of direct care staff, including conducting supervision meetings, coaching and mentoring for skill development
Provide interim coverage during the absence of the Assistant Director of Independent Living as directed by and with the support of the Director of Independent Living or any other interim member of program management assigned to the facility
Provide leadership to staff to create a cohesive team environment. Communicate with on call and management staff any concerns or issues that arise related to the care of individuals, staffing concerns or general needs of the program in the absence of an on-site manager
Ensure that services and documentation are maintained according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell's policies and procedures
Oversee all medical, clinical and financial needs of the individuals by identifying needs and securing appropriate services as needed
Transport individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational and other activities outside the program
Monitor petty cash and maintain spending within allowed budgetary limits
Assists with supervising and managing all data collection
Maintain communication and collaborative relationships with DDS and other outside vendors
Maintain sites according to DDS, CARF and agency standards
Create opportunities and provide support to individuals in making decisions to develop their skills and foster independence
Maintain appropriate certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights, PABC, etc.) and ensure that all staff maintains their certifications
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to assist in supervising staff to performance standards
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience
Excellent and verbal communications skills
Computer literacy to include ability to proficiently use Microsoft products and web based applications supported by the agency
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb stairs
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
The employee must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses, and have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Must have a minimum of three to five years of related experience degree
Must have working understanding of the ASD population
