Security Software Engineer, ML Detection Engineering
Netflix is a leading entertainment company focused on pushing the boundaries of storytelling and technology. They are seeking an experienced Security Software Engineer to enhance and expand their detection frameworks using machine learning to minimize risks and proactively identify malicious activities.

Responsibilities
Help mature and expand existing detection frameworks, platforms, and portfolio through the use of machine learning capabilities
Create and continually improve detections that run on platforms to minimize risk to Netflix by proactively surfacing malicious or anomalous behavior
Generate the largest impact and benefits for Netflix using a risk-based prioritization mindset
Qualification
Required
You have at least 5 years of experience implementing anomaly detection methods at scale, ideally using ML, with a detection-as-code approach
You are passionate about using your software engineering skills in pursuit of reducing risk and improving the security space
You have experience working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery, cloud-based environment
You are familiar with working in an AWS environment
You are adept at working with Python in a big data environment and are skilled at using SQL to query data
You are familiar with computer and information security concepts
You are comfortable working on ambitious projects with a very small, tight-knit team
You operate effectively across teams and disciplines in highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
You have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Preferred
Experience with creating and tuning AWS detections is nice to have
Experience with Java and/or Jupyter Notebooks is a plus
