Responsibilities
Manage patients requiring critical cardiac care with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:1 for high acuity)
Perform advanced procedures including rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, arterial line placements, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, and ventilator management
Administer vasopressors, monitor arterial lines, and utilize restraints as needed
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including unit secretaries, techs, and critical care transport staff
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
Adapt to scheduling needs with straight night shifts or a 50/50 day/night rotation
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Active Utah RN license
ACLS certification
Demonstrated expertise in cardiac nursing and critical care skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with an outgoing personality
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred
1 year of strong cardiac ICU experience considered
