Responsibilities
Mentor participants implementing goals developed in treatment and discharge plans
Supervise community outings such as volunteer opportunities and AA/NA meetings
Assist participants in acquiring, improving, and retaining skills in self-help, general household management meal preparation, personal finance management, socialization and other adaptive areas
Educate and empower participants to utilize recovery support services and strategies
Upon request, attend health-related appointments with participants and promote self advocacy, where necessary, communicate effectively on his/her behalf
Process Intake of new admissions in accordance with agency policies and procedures
Administer medication - If in possession of a Certified Medical Technician document
Participate in treatment plan, all staff, and other pertinent service-delivery meetings and trainings
Relay ideas and concerns to the direct supervisor to ensure client needs are met
Adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), ethics, professional boundaries and anti kickback regulations, and medicaid fraud laws
Assist in recruiting and orienting new clients into the SUD program
Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Required
2 years sobriety
1 year SUD experience
