Responsibilities
Manage care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those with IABP, Impella devices, LVADS, and ECMO
Perform clinical skills such as hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube and pacer wire removal, intubation and extubation
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care
Adhere to unit policies including attire standards and punctual shift timing
Flexibility to float to all ICUs and Stepdown units as needed
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or CVRU nursing experience
Critical Care training
Passion for surgical heart care and acute patient management
Preferred
Certifications in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room nursing
