Responsibilities
Deliver individualized instruction aligned to each students IEP goals
Support students with ASD and sensory needs in a classroom setting
Manage and respond to self-injurious behaviors (SIB) with appropriate strategies
Provide toileting support and assist with personal care as needed
Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides to ensure consistent support
Maintain timely communication regarding attendance and student progress
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License
Comfort and experience working with students diagnosed with ASD
Experience addressing sensory processing challenges and SIB in a classroom
Ability to provide toileting and personal care support as required
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with support staff
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Successful completion of drug screening, fingerprinting, and background/CORI checks
Adherence to timely arrival and absence notification protocols
