Responsibilities
Provide specialized cardiac telemetry and stepdown nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients
Manage chest tubes and monitor patients with dysrhythmias
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Utilize EPIC clinical documentation effectively after completing required training
Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including infection control and patient monitoring
Work a schedule of 3 twelve-hour day shifts, every other weekend
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Active VA or Compact Registered Nurse license at time of application
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of RN experience with strong background in cardiac telemetry and stepdown care
Experience managing chest tubes and dysrhythmias
Familiarity with cardiovascular surgery stepdown patients and telemetry monitoring
Completion of required EPIC clinical documentation training based on prior experience
